Just home after spending 3 nights at the Yurts on a trip to Yorkshire to hopefully catch some of the TDF. We hired 2 yurts for our families and as soon as we were taken to them were delighted with them. An eclectic mix of re-cycled and handmade furniture along with cheery bunting made a lovely home for our stay. On Saturday we walked to Masham to see the Tour and the Bivouac had organised a BBQ and live music for the campsite - perfect. After a great day out it was fantastic to return to a very good quality meal.
The layout is excellent and the showers and toilet areas were first class, with lots of hot water and heated floors. They also allow you to charge phones etc at the reception and the café. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Thanks to everyone. All in all it was a very enjoyable stay and we hope to return. July 2014.
Really lovely place. A large group of us stayed in the yurts and one of the shacks. We hired the hot tub for one afternoon too which was very nice with a few cocktails that we took ourselves. The food in the cafe was also very good - the full breakfast is definitely recommended! George in the cafe made our stay all the better and we had a great laugh with him. We had an evening meal on one of the nights which was a takeaway style and was also very good. Bit of a walk between the shack and the yurts so if you are planning on going as a group then get either the shacks or the yurts maybe. April 2014
The most beautiful and relaxing place to stay…it opens up the British countryside by plonking you right in the middle of it. With Nature all around and walks that start from your doorstep. You can unpack, leave your car in the car park and set off on your own adventure. A stunning location away from the noise of any traffic, we spend an entire weekend in absolute heaven. Highly recommended for any couples/families looking for a get away. You do see and hear other families and guests, but people remain respectful of their surroundings and peace descends on the camp from around 10.30 pm. It’s an all round - wish you could go every weekend kind of place. May 2014
